19 Feb Sertoman Honors Grandparent by Giving the Gift of Hearing
Samantha Freer – a proud Sertoman – saw the Hearing Aid Donation project as an opportunity to honor her grandpa, Sam McCoun, a selfless individual who always wanted to help others.
After her grandfather’s passing, Samantha asked her grandma for permission to recycle her grandpa’s hearing aid. As Samantha recounts, her grandma cried and said: “That would be wonderful! Grandpa would think that would be great. I know without a doubt he is super happy to be helping someone, even after his passing.”
Because Samantha shared her story with the nursing home where her grandparents lived, they have requested Hearing Aid Donation displays and brochures to help collect used hearing aids so they can help others.
